Malta holidays from the UK — with KM Malta Airlines.
ATOL-protected packages organised by TripX Ltd, flying with Malta’s national airline. Family, beach, all-inclusive and city breaks across Malta, Gozo and Comino.
A Malta holiday is, on paper, a remarkably forgiving thing to plan. The flight is short — three hours and ten minutes from London with KM Malta Airlines. The currency is the euro. The language is English (and Maltese). The plug is a UK three-pin. The roads run on the left. The weather, between April and October, is more or less guaranteed. And the package, organised by our partner TripX Ltd, is ATOL protected as required under UK law. Most British holidaymakers come back saying it was the easiest fortnight’s holiday they’ve ever taken — and book again the following year.
Why book a package rather than book it yourself?
Three reasons. First, ATOL protection: under UK law, eligible flight-inclusive package bookings must be ATOL protected, which means that if anything goes wrong with the company that arranged your holiday, you have a clear legal route to repatriation and refund. Booking flights and hotels separately gives you no such protection. Second, price: package bookings combine flight and hotel inventory at preferential rates and often work out 10–20% cheaper than the equivalent built up component-by-component. Third, simplicity: one booking, one transfer, one customer-service line. For families and first-time visitors, the difference is real.
Holidays we publish on VisitMalta.co.uk
All Malta Holidays
Our headline category — the full inventory of Malta package holidays organised by TripX Ltd and flown by KM Malta Airlines. Three-, four- and five-star hotels across Malta and Gozo; flight times to suit UK families; transfers included on most bookings.
Malta Holiday Deals
Time-limited offers — typically 10–30% off seven-night packages, or kids-go-free promotions during low season. Refreshed weekly; always ATOL protected.
All-Inclusive Malta
Around twenty Maltese hotels offer comprehensive all-inclusive boards — breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, soft drinks and locally produced alcoholic drinks. Best concentrated in Mellieħa Bay (Maritim, db Seabank), Buġibba and Qawra (Sunny Coast, Dolmen Resort). Excellent value for families and travellers who want a low-friction beach week.
Cheap Malta Holidays
Three-star and budget four-star options from £299pp for seven nights, room only or B&B, in shoulder-season months — the friendliest entry point to a Maltese holiday.
Malta Beach Holidays
Holidays clustered around the best swimming bays: Mellieħa Bay (the longest sandy beach), Golden Bay (more dramatic, more wind), the Sliema and St Julian’s seafront for rocky-platform and lido swimming, and Marsalforn or Xlendi on Gozo for slow-paced bay-front weeks.
Family Holidays in Malta
Malta is one of the most natural family destinations in the Mediterranean: short flight, English everywhere, sandy beaches at Mellieħa and Golden Bay, plus excellent family attractions (Popeye Village, the Malta National Aquarium, Splash and Fun Park). We have curated a list of family-suitable hotels in our family holidays section.
Couples & City Breaks
Long weekends in Valletta or Mdina; quieter five-night stays on Gozo; the boutique scene in the Three Cities. The shoulder seasons (May, late September, October) are particularly good.
How to book
Every holiday published on VisitMalta.co.uk links directly to KM Malta Airlines for booking. Click any “Book Holiday” button on this site and you will be taken to the official KM Malta Airlines holidays portal, where TripX Ltd operates the booking and payment journey, with full ATOL protection on eligible flight-inclusive bookings. We do not take payment ourselves; we do not pass your details to third parties.
Things to know about ATOL
ATOL — Air Travel Organiser’s Licence — is the UK’s travel financial-protection scheme, run by the Civil Aviation Authority. ATOL protection covers package holidays that include a flight: if your travel company collapses, ATOL ensures you get home and refunded. Crucially, ATOL protection does not apply to flight-only bookings or hotel-only bookings made on this site. If you are booking flights and hotels separately, you should consider travel insurance with appropriate cover.
If you want the simplest, most protected, most British way to take a Mediterranean holiday this year — a flight-inclusive, ATOL-protected, KM-Malta-Airlines-flown package is hard to beat.
What to do once you’re there
Most UK first-timers split their holiday into three pieces. Half a week of beach — ideally based in Mellieħa or St Julian’s. A long day in Valletta and Mdina to absorb the history. A day-trip to Gozo or Comino, ideally with an overnight stay. We have written full editorial guides to each region, attraction and beach — begin with our About Malta introduction or jump straight into Valletta, Gozo or our best beaches guide.
