Terms & Conditions
The terms on which we offer the VisitMalta.co.uk editorial guide, the Ask Malta AI assistant and onward booking links to our partners.
Last updated: 11 May 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of VisitMalta.co.uk (the “Site”), operated by Visit Travel Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. What we are — and what we are not
VisitMalta.co.uk is an editorial travel guide and an affiliate to selected booking partners. We publish guides, recommendations and the Ask Malta AI conversational assistant.
We are not a tour operator. We do not issue holiday bookings, contracts of carriage, hotel reservations, ATOL certificates or any other travel documentation directly. We do not hold client money for travel arrangements.
3. Booking partners
When you click a booking CTA on the Site you are redirected to one of our partners:
- TripX Ltd — for flight-inclusive package holidays. TripX is a UK-licensed tour operator and the principal of any package contract you enter into.
- KM Malta Airlines — for flights. KM Malta Airlines is the contracting carrier and the principal of any contract of carriage.
The booking contract is between you and the partner. Their terms apply at the point of booking. We are not a party to that contract.
4. ATOL position
Eligible flight-inclusive package holidays organised by TripX Ltd are ATOL protected as required under the UK Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. The ATOL certificate is issued by the operator at the point of sale. Always verify the ATOL number on the certificate you receive. Flight-only bookings and accommodation-only bookings made directly with KM Malta Airlines or with a hotelier are not ATOL protected.
5. Editorial content — nature and limits
Our editorial guides, regional pages, attraction pages and the Ask Malta AI assistant are provided for general guidance. We take editorial care, but practical details (opening hours, prices, ferry schedules, weather, visa rules, tax thresholds, eligibility criteria) change frequently and may be out of date. Always verify with the operator or relevant authority before travelling or making a financial decision.
6. Ask Malta AI
Ask Malta AI is a conversational assistant trained on Malta editorial content. It generates responses programmatically. While we curate the underlying knowledge base, AI responses may occasionally be incomplete or contain errors. Use Ask Malta AI as a starting point, not a final source. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, immigration or emergency advice.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the Site, attempt to disrupt or compromise it, scrape it at volume, attempt to reverse-engineer Ask Malta AI, use the Site for unlawful purposes, infringe any third party’s rights, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful or misleading.
8. Intellectual property
All editorial content, photography, graphics, logos, the VisitMalta.co.uk wordmark and the Ask Malta AI assistant are the property of Visit Travel Group Limited or our licensors. You may quote short editorial extracts with a clear, visible source link to the relevant page. Bulk copying, redistribution or republication without prior written permission is prohibited.
Photography on the Site is licensed from Unsplash and other photographers under permissive licences, with credit displayed on each image. Their respective rights are unaffected.
9. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites (operators, attractions, authorities). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or practices.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for: any loss arising from your reliance on editorial content; any loss arising from your use of Ask Malta AI; any loss arising from your dealings with any booking partner; or for any indirect, consequential or business loss.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the Site evolves. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your statutory rights as a consumer if you live in another part of the UK.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with the Site or with our editorial content, please see our Complaints Procedure. Complaints about a holiday or flight booking should be raised first with the operator (TripX Ltd or KM Malta Airlines).
